Janice Schollenberger

Co-founder and Owner of SoulBeing Wellness,
ATSI Structural Integration, Biodynamic CranioSacral, Licensed Massage Therapist, health coach

Janice is a healing arts practitioner with a private practice in NYC for over 25 years, specializing in Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI), Biodynamic CranioSacral, deep tissue, orthopedic massage and health coaching.  She holds a BFA in Modern Dance from North Carolina School of the Arts, an associates degree from the Swedish Institute in NYC, and has studied with leaders in the bodywork field including Tom Myers, Roger Gilchrist and Whitney Lowe. She completed her 200 hour certification as a yoga teacher at Kula Yoga, and furthered her training as a Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

She offers the complete ATSI 12 session series, which is a beautifully thorough adjustment of the fascial network combined with movement re-education. Designed to create more ease, awareness and natural alignment, ATSI can mitigate chronic pain patterns, compensatory issues from injuries or a lifetime’s accumulation of tension and imbalance, and draw us into a deeper sense of ourselves and the body we call “home”. She also provides mixed modality sessions to address the specific needs of her clients, including injury resolution, headaches and migraines, and pain and stress relief.

Her unique style of health coaching is designed for clients seeking to find freedom from chronic pain or limitation, maximize their health, or navigate the changes of menopause. Informed by her intricate knowledge of fascia and movement patterns, combined with nutritional information, she works one on one with clients to develop a self care program to achieve their individual goals. Programs include movement education, breath work, polyvagal theory for nervous system regulation, myofascial self massage techniques, and the knowledge that what we eat can be one of our greatest healing tools.

She is deeply inspired by her study of dance, yoga, Tantric and Buddhist philosophies, as well as the transformative dance-based practices of 5Rhythms and 360 Immersion, and the Breathwork practices of David Elliot. Janice also offers sessions in Lakeville, Connecticut where she is nourished by time in nature, and in her gardens and orchard. Part of the year she can be found in Tuscany where she is restoring an olive farm with the two loves of her life (a man and a cat).
